Editing an Existing User
To edit an existing user:
- On the Manage
Users page, click the User ID or click Edit in the Action column associated
with the user you want to edit. The Edit
User page displays with the user's saved properties.
- Before making any
changes, you can Save, Delete,
Set Password,
Assign Investments,
or Cancel.
- Click Save
to return to the Manage Users page.
No changes display.
- Click Delete to delete the user. The confirmation
message "Are you sure you want to delete this user? This operation
cannot be undone." displays.
- Click OK to delete the user and return to
the Manage Users page, where the
user is no longer listed.
- Click Cancel to keep the user and return
to the Edit User
page.
- Click Set
Password to assign a password to the user. The Set
Password For [Full Name (user ID)] page displays. See Setting a Password for instructions.
Note: If a user forgets his password, you can return to the
Edit Userpage to
set a new password.
Note: If desired, once a user has access to iPAS, he can
go to his Account Maintenance
page to change his password.
- Click Assign Investments to give the
user access to participant investments. The View
Investments for [Full Name (user ID)] page displays. See Assigning Investments for instructions.
Note: If the user already has investments assigned to his
user ID, you can add an investment to the user profile by clicking Add Investments, or modify access to
a particular investment by clicking Edit.

and/or editing investments.
- Click
Cancel to return to the Manage Users page.
- Edit any of the User Properties or User
Privileges text boxes by typing new text, changing current text,
or selecting/deselecting check boxes.
Note: You cannot edit the User
ID. If you need to change the User
ID, you must delete the current user and create a new user with
the appropriate user ID.
- After editing the
User Properties or User
Privileges text boxes, you have the option to Save,
Delete, Set Password, Assign Investments, or Cancel.
- Click Save
to save your changes and return to the Manage
Users page.
- Click Delete to delete the user. The confirmation
message "Are you sure you want to delete this user? This operation
cannot be undone." displays.
- Click OK to delete the user and return to
the Manage Users page, where the
user is no longer listed.
- Click Cancel to keep the user and return to
the Edit User page.
- Click Set
