Adding Investments

The View Investments For [Full Name (user ID)] page displays when you click Assign Investments on the Edit User page in the Manage Users page.

To assign new investments:

  1. Click Add Investments. The Select Investments for [Full Name (user ID)] page displays.
  2. To locate an investment, select any combination of search options from the drop-down menus:
  3. Fund Code, Fund Name, Position ID, Position Name
  4. Equals, Begins With, Contains, Ends With
  1. Type a number, word, or phrase for which you wish to search in the blank Search text box.

Note: Searching for Fund Code Equals ALL displays all investments. Giving access to ALL investments in this manner will override any access settings you make to individual investments.

  1. Click Search. Investments that match your criteria display.
  2. Select (check) the check box(es) to the left of the investment(s) you are assigning to the user.
  3. The first line of text is the Fund Code and FundName. Select (check) the box to the left of it to give access to all the positions in the participant account.
  4. The next, indented line(s) of text is the Position ID and PositionName. Select (check) the box to the left of it to give access to just this position in the participant account.
  5. After selecting a Fund and/or Position check box, the check boxes to the right of the Fund and/or Position are available. There are four categories of privileges that users can have for working with investments:

Note: Click Cancel to not choose any investments and return to the View Investments for [Full Name (user ID)] page.

  1. Click Done on the View Investments for [Full Name (user ID)] page to return to the Edit User page.
  2. If you are done editing the user, click Save to return to the Manage Users page and apply your changes.
