Investment Balance

The Investment Balance displays on the Home page if you set a Default Investment, or under the investment you choose in a transaction. In either case, the Investment Balance displays the following information:

• Actual Balance - the built-up position balance from the Q2 Investment Workflow System
• Contributions Pending Settlement - approved contributions pulled from Q2 with future effective dates (optional)
• Withdrawals Pending Settlement - approved withdrawals pulled from Q2 with future effective dates
• Available Balance - the actual balance with future contributions added and future withdrawals subtracted
• Contributions Awaiting Approval - contributions that have been entered in iPAS but have not yet been approved and posted in Q2 (optional)
• Withdrawals Awaiting Approval - withdrawals that have been entered in iPAS but have not yet been approved and posted in Q2 (optional)

Participants review the available balance to determine the cash available for their transactions. Balance availability is determined by business rules configured in Q2.

For example, assume you want to withdrawal $480,000 from the account. Although the account has an actual balance of $500,000, contributions and withdrawals pending settlement will affect the balance. Therefore, the available balance is only $470,000.
